Tomorrow will be three weeks since my gastric bypass surgery. I can finnaly say that I am really feeling better. The incisions on my belly are almost completely healed and the insides feel pretty good to. I have some energy back and I am hoping for more in the weeks to come.
Yesterday my wonderful husband and I spent most of the day puttering around in the yard; Filling bird feeders, cleaning up and just some general yard work. Later in the afternoon I wanted to try and get the seedlings I bought planted in the garden. He was a great help, as I am still not supposed to lift anything heavier than 20 pounds. He ended up doing most of the work in the garden that I promised him he would not have to deal with. He is such a good guy.
Today the sun is out after several rainy and cloudy days. I should be close to 70 today and I think I will go for a walk later. My mom is coming to visit this afternoon and she likes to walk.
Tomorrow will be my weigh in day and I think I am doing good as far as that goes. I am really looking forward to my visit with the nutritionist on Friday. I am getting pretty sick of liquids and small amounts of yogurt. I will be good to be a little more normal and be able to eat something.
Tomorrow I am going to the dentist for a couple more fillings. I have some old silver fillings that need to be replaced. I am dreading this appointment, I am so afraid that these teeth are going to need more than just a replaced filling and at the moment I don’t have to spare cash to pay for root canals and crowns. Never mind that the last root canal and crown lengthening was more painful than the gastric bypass surgery.
Have a great Monday everyone. I hope the sun is shining wherever you are!
